In Case We Missed It

You read that right.

We lost our office internet connection and were offline for most of last week. Michael is our Guru of All the Internet Things, and he eventually wrangled the configuration files back into submission. Once again, we have official access to cute cat videos and the freshest news on the latest in the culture wars as potent ammo in our own struggles to procrastinate successfully in getting the second draft of Dead Man's Trigger completed.

Or maybe I should just speak for myself, there.

Ahem. Please allow me to distract you with a roundup of what's been happening lately.

Fantasy Fiction for Gamers and Role Players

  • We launched Uncommon Catalysts with an article from a man more commonly known by his Twitter handle @Fiddleback. Brian Casey, The Mad Adventurers' Society's Editor-in-Chief and curator of RPG treasures took us back to the first catalytic moments when fantasy fiction collided with war-gaming in ways we're still enjoying, today.
  • Even farther back, we spent some quality time with the creative cool kids at Rolecasters talking about things like character alignment, and setting, world-building, and a little on the hard choices you have to make if you want to try to publish - and sell - your gaming exploits to the rest of the world. That was the most fun we've ever had doing an interview. We talked a little about Raven's Tears, too! Click here to watch the YouTube video, which in itself is an intriguing fusion of tabletop gaming, computer animation, live storytelling, and more!
  • Hey, we recently made it official and incorporated MetPub. You can find the official press release here.
  • Also, though we are not accepting manuscript submissions for our main fantasy catalog, we are entertaining queries for article submissions. Clicky linky to learn more.

So now, it's your turn. "Shameless" self-promotion Monday here at MetPub - what's going on in your neck of the internet? Shout it out in the (always moderated) comments!

Today's image is the word cloud of the final scene from Raven's Tears.
