The Plains of Isen
Legend says that King Chandar the Magnificent led his people beneath the Kaŝeruk Mountains, to the promised land, and there he founded the the Great Kingdom of the Medini People. He established his mighty throne beneath the mountain, and his city, just without the very place the Medini emerged from beneath the Kaŝeruk. He called the city Par Isen, and the fertile valley he saw spread out before him, for as far as the eye could see. He called the valley The Plains of Isen, and so it remains today.
Situated on the south east corner of the Kaŝeruk Range, The Plains of Isen extend south east for several hundred kilometers. The valley is surrounded on two sides by a range of hills, and on the eastern end by an escarpment that falls down into the region known as the “eastern low lands” of Syantia. Unfortunately for Chandra and his Medini, the high plains were dry and the soil poor. The dwarves helped them solve that problem, buy teaching them how to build massive aqueducts. Today these massive structures stretch out from Par-Isen across the great Plains of Isen like the arms of an octopus, bringing water to high, dry plains.
Today the Plains of Isen is one one of the most fertile areas on Sylantia. It feeds not only the residents of The Holy Land, during the war it was also home to a huge refugee population, all of which which were fed, housed, and employed according to the needs of the community, as determined by (ultimately), the impremae.
