We’re Back
As you likely know, if you've been by here at all in 2016, we've been MIA. That's because we've had to restructure everything here in order to keep functioning at all - gotta have money here in this western world - and having to go outside for income means exactly what you know it means, if you've been around or ever had to support yourself at all. Fortunately for us, Michael is an excellent general contractor and is more than capable of doing what it takes to keep us going. Unfortunately for us, Menelon is going to have to languish for a bit, at least until something significant changes..
I'm back at the helm here at MetPub, and soloing while I try to regain my bearings. I succumbed to depression at the end of February, and everything that wasn't absolutely necessary to keep breathing got shut out of my world for about two months. It's been a very long road back. The burden on Michael during this time was awful, as you may imagine, and took an additional toll on him. Now that I'm feeling fiestier, my primary concern is caring for him, doing what I can to ensure his well-being so he can continue taking care of us.
MetPub's importance in our lives has been promoted, as of today - to the second priority tier.
A bit more seriously, that means I actually have a second tier, and that's some very good news. It means I've got energy and interest and passion for this, again. I'll be sitting down here a few days a week to handle the business end of being an indie publisher. A few days a week, I'll be sitting down to put stories together, blog posts, or wiki entries, or something to rekindle whatever interest remains in this little corner of the fantasy universe. As I'm sure you've reasoned out by now, the publication date for the third book of The Raven & The Iris trilogy is officially scuppered. I have no later publication date at this time, but late 2017 isn't an unreasonable guess.
Hey, thanks for reading this far. Whoever you are, may your gods bless you sticking around. Michael and I hope your 2016 has gone stunningly well so far. Check back soon for more updates, or maybe share some of your good news with us in the comments.
