From the Walls of the Mighty Fortress
You know, I don't even remember where I took this photo; but it may as well be from from the walls of the mighty fortress of Par-Isen, which many Guardian Paladins came to call "The Fortress" during the Great War. Located at the southern end of the Kaseruk Range, on the Continent of Sylantia, the rolling hills below Par-Isen are arid. Then they then settle into fertile fields as the land falls away to the southeast.
Throughout the War, the Confederation mounted some of its most vicious campaigns against Par-Isen in a concerted effort to take it. But the mighty Knights of Isen defended it without quarter and, aided by the divine power of her clergy, neither the fortress nor the plains below ever fell. Like the great elven wood on the southwestern side of the Kaseruk, the Plains of Isen and holy fortress became a sanctuary for thousands of refugees throughout the Great War.
Today Par-Isen is the most popular pilgrimage site on Menelon.
