A #WIP of The Battle Begins

A #WIP of The Battle Begins

Well, the page isn't done yet, for reasons I'll get to in a minute, but here's a #wip of page 2: The Battle Begins. Wil and the crew have finally caught up with the mutineers who abandoned them in Bagédaan. Now, there will be justice; and after having faced the horrors of battle on their own, you can be sure it will be final!

On the one hand, I'm really frustrated that the page is taking so long. On the other, it's been fun to work out the details of the ship and its equipment. You can see the beginnings of that in the first frame. There's still a lot that must be done. As you can see, there's no motion, no effects, no text, and there are still two combat frames to finish. There's also some detail missing, but in the grand scheme of things, that's minor.

Anniel

For those have been following along, Anniel is better. For those who weren't, take a quick read of my last post. It took most of the month of March for her to quit needing to go out every few hours, so I spent most of the month sleeping (if that's the word) on the couch. She's not quite back to normal, but at least now I can stay up an extra hour and Alesia can get up an hour early and our poor old girl covered. Keep in mind that she's a 15 year old puppy. So, we're not just calling it a victory, we're calling it a major victory---for her, and for us.

But of course, in keeping with the March madness theme, I also had to play auto mechanic and plumber---just for fun. Not really. But we'll keep up the good humor anyway. I got done what I could get done. Now it's back to the story.

Thanks for following along!
