The Battle Begins!

Wil and the crew have caught up with the mutineers who abandoned them in Bagédaan and now, hundreds of nautical miles from the shore,  the battle begins! The page is finally finished. Thank you all for your patience. March was not a good month, and April didn't start well either.

A sad update

In addition to our old puppy having a bladder infection that has changed our routines, a week ago Alesia lost her mother. The news was sudden and unexpected. Her health was declining. She was in a nursing home and we had been informed hospice had been called in. So yes, the end was near. This we knew, but were thinking months, not days. Then, she was gone and we were rather stunned at the suddenness of it all. So, once again, thank you all for your patience.

Now back to the story

If you've read the novella, you already know the names of the main characters. You may also remember some of the secondary characters who were introduced during the battle in town. Names will start appearing on the next page. But for newsletter subscribers and site visitors, here's a list of the named characters on this page.

Captain William Terrel: Bottom left frame.

Crewman Brenda Strong: Bottom center frame. You might remember, she's a former Marine SAS trooper who got into trouble, and so was banished to the Wil's ragtag crew of thieves and misfits. (Which is why she's wearing armor.)

Seaman Tracy Jones: Bottom right frame. Mentioned, but never really filled out in Bagédaan.
