FMII: The Rescue! #WIP

Welcome to 2022! I debated about whether to post the graphic novel cover #WIP of my work on The Rescue! I confess, I'm still not 100% sure that doing so is a good thing, but as I'm posting them on Instagram anyway, I decided why not. If you're following along you're going to see all my creative ideas and mistakes that lead to the finished pages anyway. Posting them here just gives me an idea to expound on my ideas, and you the opportunity to give me some feed back, which sounds like fun! So here goes!

So this is my first, and very boring draft of the graphic novel cover page #WIP for The Rescue! But, it served many good purposes. Believe it or not, I've never "seen" the core group of characters in the Fire Mission stories, even though they've been in existence for decades! So, how does Captain Terrell look? How about the cigar smoking Harry, Commander Isac Finway (not shown in this #wip), or the ex-pirate, John West? You'll remember them all (and more) from Fire Mission I, no doubt. I've had some ideas, but I had to work them out, while at the same time, deciding what compromises I wanted to make on how I want the graphic novel to actually look, versus the time it takes to create each page of the story.

So stay tuned! I'm already working on the second draft.
