Barony of Carlisle

Untenanted barony until 577 CE, and overseen by a bailiff until 580 CE when the Lady Angelique Blakesly finally took possession of her lands.

A mountainous, frontier barony, Carlisle's three valleys mainly produce wool, flax, tin, and coal. Other natural mineral resources are discovered there during the time period of The Raven & The Iris. Under the questionable stewardship of the earl of Camrose and his bailiff, however, little remains of Carlisle's wealth. This is one of the sub-plots of Raven's Tears that is carried through Dead Man's Trigger and the third book, "Seven for a Secret."

Carlisle becomes an earldom in 590 at the demise of the earl of Camrose. As for who become the earl and countess, well - keep coming back to find out!
