Dark Elves

The problem with discussing "dark elves" is that, according to the elves themselves, there is no genetic difference between the two! They are merely elves that have, as the elves say "taken the dark path". Where elves are seen as:

Peace-loving, harmony-loving, rarely intrusive, and never dictatorial, the elves as a race have simply always been around with an astute observation or a helping hand. They've had a civilizing influence on their human neighbors and seem to expect little in return other than to be allowed to pursue their own interests in peace.

The dark elves, while making the same claims, prove through their actions to be the exact opposite. They are peace-loving, harmony-loving, non-intrusive, and not dictatorial—so long as you willingly comply with their dictates, let them intrude themselves into every aspect of your life, and interpret "peace" and "harmony" exactly as they do. Their astute observations and help come with a price, and that price is control of the entire planet and its resources, which includes its human capital.

Though never many in number, the dark elves are masters of controlling human enterprises and organizations. It was they who, using human sycophants, infiltrated King Guntar's inner court for the sole purpose of convincing him to declare war on, and commit genocide in, Tinhellerin. It was they who bred the War Orc for the sole purpose of imposing their will on the unruly humans, whom they see as little more than a resource for increasing their wealth and power. And it was they who, when the humans refused to submit to their will "for the greater good", began the Great War "…to ensure peace, equity, and environmental stability for all". It was also they who created the shadowy organization known as SALFE, thought by many to be a conspiracy theory. But, as Mr. Marcus of the MARCUS Agency once said during the War:

My biggest problem is that all my conspiracy theories have come true.

Generic Stats

Since the dark elf is genetically identical to the land elf, their general stats are also identical. Obviously, since land elves can interbreed with humans (though not easily), dark elves can as well—though there's no guarantee the half-elven offspring will turn out to be "dark" (evil) themselves.
